Why Your AI Agent Needs a Stomme

Most AI assistants fail not because the technology isn't good enough — but because they're never configured properly.

You've heard the pitch. An AI assistant that handles your email, manages your calendar, drafts reports, and flags what matters before it lands in front of you. It sounds exactly like what your mornings need.

So why isn't it working?

Not because the technology isn't capable. The models available today are genuinely impressive. The problem is almost never the AI itself.

The problem is the setup.

The Gap Nobody Talks About

There's a significant distance between "I have access to an AI" and "I have an AI that actually helps me." Most people who've tried AI assistants have landed somewhere in that gap — the assistant is technically running, technically impressive in demos, and practically useless in their day-to-day.

The reason is infrastructure. Your AI needs to know who you are, what you're working on, what tools you use, how you make decisions, and what you care about. Without that foundation, it's a powerful engine with no road to drive on.

Getting that foundation right requires decisions most people don't know to make. Which model should run locally versus in the cloud? How do you wire the AI to your calendar without handing your calendar to a third party? What happens when you switch between tasks — does your agent carry context, or does every conversation start from scratch? How do you ensure the agent behaves predictably, not just cleverly?

These aren't questions with obvious answers. They're the questions a systems architect asks. They're the questions we've been answering, for ourselves, for years.

What We Built (Before We Offered It to You)

Stomme AI didn't start as a product. It started as the infrastructure we built to run the autonomous business we created — and working at that scale is what led us to realise this could be generalised and offered as a paid service to the public and businesses.

We needed an AI agent that could handle real work — drafting, coordinating, managing state across tasks, delegating to sub-agents and collecting their results, running on our own machines without depending on a third-party service to stay up. We built it. We tested it. We ran it at scale against actual operational demands.

The result is 13 purpose-built skills, each one covering a specific category of work: authentication, payments, user management, telemetry, operations, deployments, state management, and multi-agent coordination. These aren't demos. They're tested, versioned, and production-hardened — over 800 tests across the library, enforced on every build.

When you become a Stomme customer, we provision your agent using that same infrastructure. Not an adapted version of it. The real thing.

This Is Not a Subscription to a Chatbot

There's a category of product that sells you access to an AI via a chat interface. You pay monthly, you type questions, it answers. That's fine for some things.

Stomme is different in kind, not just degree.

We don't give you access to a chatbot. We set up a personal AI agent that runs on your Mac. Your agent has a name, a role, and an understanding of how you work. It has access to the tools you've approved and no others. It runs locally, which means it keeps working whether or not our servers do.

Getting there requires a provisioning process: understanding your workflow, configuring the agent workspace, wiring the right skills, seeding the right context, and testing that everything behaves correctly. That's not something you do in a browser tab. It's a setup engagement — done by people who've done it dozens of times, using infrastructure built over years.

After setup, you don't need us for the day-to-day. Your agent runs. We're available when things need adjusting or when you want to add capabilities. But we're not a middleman between you and your AI.

The Privacy Architecture

"Privacy-first AI" is a phrase that has been emptied of meaning by overuse. Let's be specific about what it means here.

After installation, your conversations and files stay on your Mac. Your agent processes information locally. It doesn't send your drafts, your calendar details, or your work conversations to our servers to generate a response.

During onboarding, we do process data on our end — configuring your workspace, provisioning your agent's capabilities, setting up your account. That data is used for setup and then deleted. We're not building a profile of you. We're building your agent and then getting out of the way.

Your account and billing information is stored in our infrastructure, as it must be. That's standard for any subscription service.

Remote access for support requires your explicit approval. If you need help diagnosing an issue, we can connect — but only when you authorize it. You're always in control of when we can see your system.

The architecture also means something practically important: if Stomme goes down, your agent doesn't. It keeps running, on your machine, handling your work. Independence isn't just a privacy feature — it's a reliability feature.

The Difference a Proper Foundation Makes

A well-configured AI agent compounds in value over time. It learns how you work — not by sending data anywhere, but by building local context over months of use. Tasks that took ten minutes become tasks that take thirty seconds. Work you used to delegate to people becomes work your agent handles before you're even asked.

But that compounding only starts from a solid foundation. An agent that's half-configured, with gaps in its context and fragile connections to your tools, doesn't compound — it frustrates. It halves the work sometimes and misses it entirely at others.

The stomme — the frame, the structure, the load-bearing skeleton — is what makes the difference. Get it right at the start and everything else builds cleanly on top.

That's what we do. We build the stomme.

Ready to Start?

If you're ready to have an AI agent that actually works — set up properly, running locally, and configured for how you work — we're ready to build it.

stomme.ai — Choose your plan, describe your work, and we'll handle the rest.

Personal plans start at €45/month. Founding customers get 50% off their first month — €22.50 instead of €45.
